A late Eighteenth Century mahogany cased travelling compass engraved on the brass  bezel rim Edward Penman, London.

The compass is comprised of a solid mahogany case with brass hinged lid.  Hinges are original. The base section contains a printed paper compass dial with a sun motif to the centre and is enclosed inside a brass bezel with glass front. 

It measures 7.8cm w x 7.8cm d x 2cm h
