This is a 19th century antique box in the shape of a book.The box is veneered with mahogany having a central pannel of satinwood with a diamond in rosewood. The design is the same on both sides. The walnut spine has horizontal stringing in boxwood  across the entire length of the spine. It pulls out and there is a divided interior with four separate compartments lined with dark pink paper.
The box measures 17cm h x 11cm w x 3.5cm d.
