A good 18th century Welsh Rushlight from the Radnorshire area. This rushlight is illustrated in Robert Ashley's book 'The Rushlights and Related Holders' page 53 and is described as having a plain ash wood base a tapering square stem, round arm, and a pointed ball counterweight. Long rectangular jaws with a medium rivet.
It measures 28cm h x 7.7cm w at the base
