A very interesting 19th century Welsh oak printing press of small size.

A similar one is illustrated in Treen or small woodwork by Pinto plate 118.

In the drawer is a card stating it was owned by Seisyll Watkin, and the family history of owners back to his great grandfather W Watkin. The family lived in Caernarvonshire and were all agents on Brynkir and Trefan Estate and this printing press was suppose to be used on the estate. Great piece of social history.

It only measures 18cm w x 23.5cm h x 13cm d.
