A very nice early 19th century Welsh lovespoon carved from pear wood.
Note the cut out anchor - probably made by a sailor, the cut out key - to represent unlocking the heart or the key to a house and the carved cut out comma/soul to represent deep affection. It has a small repair to the top right hand side, see images.
It has lots of other detailing, chip carved work to the top, all around the cut outs along with cut outs along the edge of the spoon handle.
Very tactile with a lovely smooth surface.
