An antique 19th century Welsh lovespoon all carved from one piece of wood. Lovely rope carved hanging ring, glazed window on the handle to place a message, then there is an open lantern with a ball inside - to represent the number of children the suitor would like, it can also represent a suitor held captive by his love.
It measures 22cm l.
