This is a lovely example of a 19th century Welsh Love spoon..

It has a large roundel at the top of the handle, with a carved central flower, surrounded by carved triangles. Flowers symbolise affection, deep care and how love will blossom and grow. The rest of the handle has a classic shape of a Welsh dolphin spoon with the thickening of the handle.

The spoon has a glorious colour and patina.

It measures 25cm l x 9.5cm w at the roundel.
