A great example of this Victorian dice game called Schimmell or “Bell and Hammer”.  This wonderful antique gambling game dates from 1870 and is in excellent condition for its age.  It is complete with the following components:

  • Mahogany Box with Sliding lid
  • All five cards plus Instruction card
  • Turned Ebony Shaker
  • All eight special bone Dice
  • Turned Boxwood Gavel
  • Dozens of bone counters

A well constructed, quality game which would not have been cheap in its day.  The original fitted box has compartments for all the components and a sliding lid with label attached.

It measures 16cm l x 11cm d x 5.5cm h
