An early Tunbridge warewhite wood sewing pannier, box with   paint decorated and pokerwork decoratiom. Pokerwork is where the wood is burnt slightly to create a striking appearance.
The pin hinge lid is painted with a panel of flowers within a black and white geometric border. This lifts up and the reveals a divided interior.It has sloping sides over a box base fitted with a drawer, a replacement swing handle. The interior still retains much of the original pink lining paper.
It measures 18.5 x 12.5 x 21.5cm h including the handle.
