An unusual small sized 19th century fruit wood wool or thread holder of spherical shape on a pedestal. The lid lifts off for storage of wool or thread and then the yarn is threaded through the eyelet in the lid.
Great colour and patina.
It measures 10cm h x 5.5cm w at the widest point.
