Antique Treen Welsh Knitting Sheath- Double ended
A very good antique treen knitting sheath beautifully carved with four balls in open lanterns, middle clip, J Basson & Jeny 1821.
Lovely fine chip carved decoration.
Note this knitting sheath is a double ended one, suggestingthat it probably came from Wales. Lovely elegant proportions measuring 17cm l x 1.2cm d x 1.2cm, with a very fine/small hole at either end.
