An impressive antique table nutmeg grater made from Coquilla nut and Lignum Vitae. The turned and carved top unscrews to reveal the bone surrounded  nutmeg grater. The middle section is a ring turned and carved waisted pedestal and screw threads to the top, the base has diagonally carved criss cross lines. The threaded base which is turned from lignum vitae, would be for storing those precious nutmeg spices.
