An antique 19th century treen table nutmeg grater dating from the 19th century separating into three sections :
The top section carved from coquilla nut in a acorn form with a steel grater.
The middle section a ring turned and carved waisted pedestal of lignum vitae, geometric carving and screw threads to the top, the base having diagonally carved leaves over a threaded base.
The lower section from lignum vitae, carved criss cross work, threaded a deep opening for storage for nuts.
It measures approx 15cm h.
