A pair of late 19th century fruitwood spill vases which flare out slightly at the base.
Spill vases were produced as a single vase or in pairs. They would contain spills, splints or tapers for lighting fires, pipes and candles.
There is striker paper to the base for a match to br lit.
Each spill vase measures 10.5cm h x 6.5cm w at the base
