This is a 19th century game of Spellicans played similar to Jack Straws.
Each piece is marked with a number on it and the objective of the game is to pick up as many pieces from the pile with the hook without moving any of the pieces. Each piece picked up will score the number on the piece.

The pieces are in wood and there are some extra bone pieces as well. It has the old paper rules as well.
The box measures 13cm l x 4.8cm d x 2cm h.
