An interesting early 1800's dated quaich, made from oak with an inscription to the base. "Oak from Queen Marys Apartment Holyrood House repairing'.

Quaich were drinking vessels used by the Scottish to offer a welcoming drink to gatherings and for ceremonial occasions.
