An antique treen sailors rubber from the first half of the 1800s. It has  a carved  Turkish knot handle, a rope carved stem, terminating in a spade shape. It has been well used, the handle has gone smooth in places through use, some minor chips.

It measures 12.5cm l x 4cm w at the widest part.
 
These pieces were used by the sailors for smoothing stitched seams canvases.
