An antique pounce pot from the early to mid 1800's. Saucer shape lid The small pots were used to store pounce, before blotting paper, the pounce was sprinkled on to the paper and then any remaining pounce, which was expensive, was poured back into the pot via the saucer shaped top. C1840It measures approx 7cm h x 6cm w.
