Antique treen early 19th century pocket nutcrackers, used for cracking hazelnuts, which were particularly popular to eat whilst watching theatre performances. The handles are often pitted by teeth to gain a firmer grip on the handles.One of these has the initials WW carved into the side- the owners initials.
