An early 1800s bucket shaped pocket nutmeg grater, turned on a lathe from kingwood with line - engraved ornamental etched decoration to create a basket weave appearance. 
The top unscrews to reveal a grater, this unscrews for storage of nutmegs.
It measures 6cm h x 3.2cm w at the base.
