A late Victorian antique treen knitting sheath with a chain and clew holder for the ball of wool. All carved from one piece of wood. There are initials `WR' to the back. Some similar characteristics to the carver of chain knitting sheaths Timothy Tarn of Teesdale with the link in the middle and a double hook to the end.
it measures 39cm L when the chain is extended x 3cm w at the widest point.
