This Victorian knitting is larger than most and was obviously made as a love token as well as for use. It has an inlaid heart and a diamond, both symbols used on Welsh love spoons. Also in the glazed pannel is a message " Made for Thimasine Alkinson April 21 st 1879'. It is capped with a brass plate with a small hole in the centre.
