An interesting mahogany knitting sheath well  carved with glass pannel, diamond inlay, terminating in a carved boot.
The glass pannel inset has a hand written piece of paper underneath it J Allan, 1856.
It measures 17.5cm long x 2cm w 3cm d at its widest point.
