An early 1900s bentwood measure for drain ingredients. It is stamped with the verification stamp of the reigning monarch to the top. This shows that it has been checked and measures correctly. The stamp is George V and the region looks like 587 which is Devon.

Wooden measures needed to be checked quite frequently as the wood was liable to shrinkage, warping etc.

Good colour and patina.

It measures 9.4cm h x  7.8cm w.
