A well turned two section boxwood glove powdering flask. The top part  has six fine holes for shaking the powder out. The base unscrews for filling purposes.
This glove powderer has a lovely dark colour and patinationcondition.
 These powderer's were used during the Victorian period in particularly when tight fitting gloves were in fashion. The powder was sprinkled into the glove to help when putting gloves on and off, the powder also helped to keep the gloves smelling nice.
