Here is a 19th century antique treen knitting from the Durham area. It has a rectangular shaft which ends in a neat scroll. It has a deep diagonal slot across the face where the cow band would slot. Decorated with chip carved incised triangles across the entire front and back face. On the sides is the inscription Lizzie Johnson and the place name Radcliffe.  There is also a heart, diamond and a cross.

Dating from the first half of the 1800s.

It measures 19.5cm l x 2cm w x 2cm d.
