This is a mystery boxwood item. The lid is stamped Stereo Co. patent. On  either end are six holes and on the main body are two holes on eitherside.
It measures 10cm h x 5cm w
It may be a shaker for seeds or possibly for putting dried peas  or similarin to act as a  rattle or as a bird scarer.
