An antique three draw brass telescope signed, ‘Gilbert & Co., London. Best Improved’.
William Gilbert and his sons worked out of London between 1794-1817. This telescope measures approximately 13.5 cms closed and 36 cms fully open.
It has a 27mm objective lens.
The eyepiece has an enclosed sun shade which can be put in to use by pushing the pin next to the aperture.
Good clear image when in use.
