This is a striking 19th century box with stripes of birds eye maple and walnut. on the lid and front with a diamond on the lid.
It has a relined interior, and once would have had a lift out tray for jewellery or sewing. 
There is a replacement piece of veneerr on one of the corners
It measures 25cm w x18cm d x 9.5cm h.
