An 18th century spiral candlestick.
These spiral candlesticks are a great design with a carrying hook to avoid wax spilling onto your hands. There is a side travellor which moves the candle up and down adjusting the height of the candle and also allowing the ends of the candles to be removed.
Good colour to the base, with the original metal work, which  can be seen poking through the base which would have been done when it was made around 1780/90.
