An early 19th century box wood spice flask, similar ones illustrated in Treen for the Table and in the Shepherds Collection, probably french.
A turned balustershaped body with threaded finial which unscrews to reveal a pierced top, the base also unscrews for filling the spice flask up. Lovely colour and patina.
It measures 16cm h x 7cm w at its widest point.
