An early to mid 1800's  Tunbridge Ware rosewood box with parquetry inlay to the lid. Numerous different types of wood have been used from fruit wood, ebony and walnut to black palm wood for the pieces with black dots.

The box has a hinged lid with divided interior with the original blue paper lining. This would make a good jewellery or sewing box.

 

It measures 16cm w x 10cm d x 4.5cm h
