An unusually small 19th century Scottish spice box.
This lovely lidded box has a label saying Spicebox and a picture entitled 'Tower of Refuge'. On the main circular body of the spice box there is another image of the Tower of Refuge and one of the Ferry Bowness.
The box has an attractive scalloped edging and a well turned handle. It is a good colour.
These would have been made as souvenir goods for the wealthy.
The box measures only 13cm w x 9cm h.
