Antique  salmon fishing gaff. The construction of the gaff is strong and well made and incorporates a brass safety guard. The hook being made of steel, the main telescopic body of brass and the wooden handle made of lignum vitae and finished off with a decorative finial made of brass. L 38.5cm.
