This is a  good rosewood reel stand, c1870,. It has a  circular dished base raised on three bun feet, centred by a baluster turned column supporting two roundel turned circular tiers. There are  six brass reel rods surmounted by turned wooden  finials each of which hold two cotton reels each. To the top is a pin cushion.
