An early 1800's whitewood reel box with sliding lid with a cottage to the lid. Storage for reels in the top with small holes to the side of the box for the thread to go through. This was so all threads could be accessed at the same time and kept the threads separate. Locking pin when removed opens the drawer to the side of the box where scissors, needles etc can be stored.
It measures 16.8cm x 9cm d x 7.5cm h
