Here we have a great piece made by Prisoners of War in the late 1700s - early 1800s.
A carved shoe with a sliding lid. To the lid are carved leaves going down the entire length of the shoe. To the front is a carved buckle. These are classic Prisoner of War decorations. Amazingly to the inside of the shoe is a complete set of mini bone dominoes going all the way up to double seven. What a great achievement that that they all stayed together...
It measures approx 18cm l x 4.5cm d
