This is a mid 1800s Black Forest dog page turner  and letter opener. The dog's head is beautifully carved showing all its features along with its  glass eyes and a metal dog collar. The bottom section is beautifully smooth from years of handling. A very good quality piece. 
It measures 30cm l x 3cm w x 5cm d.
