A very nicely painted  German 19th century Noah's Ark with lift up lid for storage of animals anf figures. To the outside painted windows, roof and dove to the lid.
Inside are over 150 animals and figures, which is very unusual to find so many. A few have broken limbs. The animals range from Noah's family, camels, pigs, hyenas, horses, to insects like beetles, ladybirds and ravens. C1870
