A 19th century Killarney Ware book box, The arbutus wood is inlaid with shamrocks and castles. The spine has Killarney Lakes in small brass nails.It measures 13.2cm h x 9cm w x 3.5cm d. 
Small  souvenir items were made in Killarney Ireland using this local wood known as Arbutus (from the Strawberry Tree) peculiar to this part of Kerry during the 19th Century and later.
