A Georgian mahogany candle box with  a flame mahogany sliding lid. The interesting thing about this piece is that the box is stamped in two places John Randell.
This was probably the cabinet makers name. It is very unusual to have a stamp on a candle box, they can be found on furniture from time to time.
 
The box measures 39.5cm h x 14cm w x 10.5cm d.
