A 19th century Fruit wood  ball and cup or bilboquet game. This example has a beautifully turned stem with incised line decorations. It has character as it has a slight lean to the top part of it which doesnt effect using it, but makes it a bit querky.

The idea is to catch the ball in the cup or harder still on the spike at the other end. These were particularly popular toys in the Regency and Victorian  period.

It measures 17cm h x 3.3cm w.
