This is a lovely late 1700s coquilla nut snuff box carved in the shape of a portly gentleman. Carved from a coquilla nut the man is wearing a coat, waist jacket both with inlaid buttons, a scarf and trousers. His face is finely carved with a large nose. The shoes are replaced as there is a small repair around the hinge.
