An unusual design of  a carved pheasant, 3D butter mould. This two piece butter mould came originally from Lowther Castle, from the auction of the contents in the 1940s and probably dates to late Victorian. These two piece moulds were used to create £D butter moulds for the dining table. An unusual design.
