This is an antique boxwood bottle case with bottle, stamped on the top with S. Maw, Son & Thompson, London, who operated as a major British medical instrument and pharmaceutical sundries manufacturer between 1870 and 1903. The firm was based at 7–12 Aldersgate Street, London, and primarily produced apothecary supplies, surgical instruments, and glass medicine and feeding bottles.
