A great example of this Victorian dice game called Schimmell or “Bell and Hammer”.  This wonderful antique gambling game dates from 1870 onwards. It has all the components to play the game, although more counters would be useful, coins or matchsticks could be used if necessary. 

The box includes the following:

  • Mahogany box with sliding lid & original label
  • All five cards plus a photocopy of the Instructions
  • Dice shaker
  • Eight wooden dice 
  • Turned lignum vitae gavel
  • Gambling counters
  • The box measures 19.5cm w x 12.5cm d x 7cm h
