An early 1800s artist box with a trade label to the inside R Ackermann manufacture of superfine watercolours to his majesty.
This box has some watercolour cakes, artist palette, glass water bowl, tubes of paint, pencils etc. To the lower drawer accessed by taking the brass pin out is a wooden set square and a mixing palette.
It also has a working key. The box is mahogany with ebony stringing to the edge.
It measures 22cm w x 16cm d x 8.5cm h.
