This is a very unusual 19th century sycamore butter stamp. It is carved on the base with a ship which is a rare subject matter.Another unusual feature of this stamp is around the circumference of the stamp are carved the letters "juvat fortuna" which translated from Latin means fortune favors.
There are a few minor surface age related cracks, it still gives a clear image.
It measures 5cm w x 6.2cm h.
