A very unusual antique box consisting of a well figured oak book tray with sides and base, and then the front back and lid are made up of a series of seven leather covered books. The spines of the books form the lid of the box which opens to a mahogany lined divided interior.
Note the two carrying handles to the sides.
Each book has a proper title eg. 'Under A Cloud', "life of Henry Gray", "The Fall of The Leaf'.
A really unique and beautifully made box.
