An early Tunbridge Ware whitewood pin wheel/ pin cushion. It is unusual as it has a colour printed map on one side featuring the coastline from Shoreham to Newhaven centred by Brighthelmston, later known as Brighton, (the name Brighton being adopted in the early 19th Century). On the otherside it is inscribed 'Accept This Little Gift from me and may you ever happy be', within a ball border.
The Georgian pin cushion wheel has slightly domed sides divided by purple silk infill with bow suspension.
